air intake and exhaust systems—which
Kawasaki says now delivers more peak
power at a higher rev limit and has im-
proved low-mid range performance.
The KX250's aluminum perimeter
frame is now closely modeled after its
big brother, the KX450. The new frame
is narrower, lighter and now uses the en-
gine as a stressed member. The swing-
arm comes straight from the KX450.
The rear-brake disc is smaller in diam-
eter, and suspension settings have been

The 2021 Kawasaki KX450 returns
much as it was in 2020 but with an
updated piston and, like the KX250, a
coned disc-spring hydraulic clutch.
Both the KX250 ($8299) and KX450
($9399) are now available. For more de-
