Ermolenko swep t th e Scratch side o f the program including a runawa y victory in the main. Ken Berry of Bakersfield was Club 's (CRC) grand prix in H u ngr y Valley . Kehoe motored to the 125cc win , w hi le Mcl.eod a nd Simons took top honors in the 250 a nd 500cc clas ses. Ya ma ha rider Mike Pa sca rella claimed the 80cc Expert win. The sta rt of th e 80cc race saw Joel Tokar sky jump o ut to a n ea rly lead , whi le Pasca rell a closelv followed. During th e seco nd lap: Pasca rella made hi s move a nd slipped past th e lead er, hut Tokarsky retaliated a la p la ter. But Pasca rell a was n't throug h ye t, Th e Yam a ha pi lot jammed back in to th e top spo t duri ng th e fourt h go-'ro u nd a nd never look ed back . Eventuall y Simons roosted by th e leader over a fall aw ay jump and sta rted to pull a health y di stance over McLeod, wh o had a large adva ntage over Suzuki-mounted Rod Ri ch ardso n . At the fini sh, it was Simons taking th e 500cc win ove r Honda rider Eric Marnoch, Ruben Falcon (Yam), Mark Nation (KT M) and Greg Karnmerman (Yam) . McLeod held on to win th e 250s a head o f Ri chardson an d Zahrt. Kehoe easi ly fini shed fir st in th e 125cc class , beating Drury, Ri ch Truchinski (Hon ) and Sh awn Davis (H o n). Mikc NOll (Kaw) has been on a reign of terror as of late, an d today wa s much of th e same a s he took the lead a n d held off driving adva nces by Todd "Altered Mind" Alter (H o n) 10 land th e first rnot o win. Moto two wa s aga in NOll 'S race ; the Kawasak i speeds ter had Kyle Brooks (H a n) chas in g him , but in th e end, NOll prevailed for a I-I romp over Brooks (4-2), Alt er (2-4), 'Tice's 3-5 a n d Chad Egge's (Suz) 7-3 tall y.
