Berr y took th e 125cc title, na rrowly edging o ut Bill y Stork for th e crow n . Molder h ad possession of th e 500cc cro wn before th e final event, a nd added the 250cc cha m p io n sh ip by taking th e overa ll victo ry in the class. Out of th e ga te first ca me the 125cc Pro s, and Berry too k the hol eshot a boa rd his Sm all Engi ne Mach in e shop Kawasa ki, while Stork motored in behind.
