In th e fi rst m ot a , Sc h lag was third into th e fir st co rner behind Darren G allagher (S uz) a nd T o ny ' Ri ch ards ( Kaw) , who is sponsored by Motors West a nd Max ey Enter p ri ses. Unfortunately , in add i tio n to suffering th e in j ury, Baker wi ll not be able to successfu ll y defend his Vet Master plate and will m iss the Bayland 's season ch a m p io ns h ip by just a few points.
