Stichter ga ted third behind Alben Firestine a nd Kyle in moto o ne, but p assed both o n a straight in lap two and pulled aw a y. Kyle took second two laps later from Firestine, who is ba ck in th e hunt a fter being slowed by inj uries. Firestine finish ed th ird , but Jim Mitch ell , after a poor sta n, was right o n h is ta il a t th e checkers. St ichter led round two from flagto-fl ag a few seco nds a hea d o f Kyle. Atkins an d j ared Ramsour tra iled Rose in round two, while Chisman a n d Murra y were again bauling over fourth place. The duel lasted th e wh ol e mot o , th en Murra y a gai n crashed.
