The "Secrets at Willow Springs" are out••• winners ride on Dunlop. First. First. First. First. • We bu ilt the Sport Elite legen d at W illow Springs where Dunlop has dominated Production Class racing for the last four years. In 1985 the Dunlop Legend continues. The first Pro-Am of the season proved to be a long weekend for the competition. Team Hammer started The Dunlop sweep on Saturdayl In the AMA Championship Cup Series 4 Hr. Endurance, Team Hammer outdistanced their nearest rivals by a comfortable four laps. On Sunday we really blew the competition off the track, starting with Malcolm Hili's win in the Superstreet 600cc Class event on a Yamaha RZ350 proving once again that size isn 't everything. The right equipment is. Next, in the Formula II race, 32 Dunlop tires crossed the finish line before any of our competitors... led by race winner wayne Rainey and runner-up Rich Schlachter, both aboard MacLean-Hondas. Naturally we saved the biggest first for last. In the Superbike Final KevIn SChwantz and his Yoshimura-Suzuki were the model of consistency tak ing first in both heats, followed both times by Fred Merkel and Wes Cooley... all on Dunlop.
