T hough Lechi en did a tremendous job o r coming from beh ind in th e first moto, his day was ruined when he took a seco nd mo to DNF. Ro bert Mason a nd Bruner took th e lead; Io llowed by Moore a nd Drey Dircks, wh o were in volved in a nother two ' man d ice. Soon Moore a nd Dircks look over the fir st-second positions ; th en Moore dropped his Suzuki a nd Dircks wa s ha nded th e lead. Warren a d va nced to seco nd wh ile Moore remounted and took third. A fin e 3-2 performance gave Warren the top money prize. Second went to Mo ore; Bro o ks took third with a 4-5 scor e. A cra sh sta rted o ff th e first mo to or th e 250cc Pro class which saw J err Hicks (H on) g ra b th e lead. H ow ever , it took Peder son a co up le o r laps to swoop past Hicks for th e win . T h ird was tak en by Scott Mann in g. It was Pederson a ll th e way in the fin a l ·250cc P ro ro u nd . BiIly Li les (Ka w ) was in second a nd Ma n n in g th ird until H icks wor ked past h im .
