Coming through the whoopde-doos it was Fox leading Earle, Kenny Too Rad Olson'(Kaw (25) and Alan Hinkley (Han 250). Fox staJled it less than a lap later and lost the lead to Earle. who in turn went over a berm and put Olson into the lead. It soon be£ame the 125 versus 500 shooLOut what came down to the last lap. Hinkley and Fox dueled for third ahead of Sl;ott Russell (Hus 400). Dashiel goes 1-2 at Sand Hill Ranch By Dazzling Dashiel BRENTWOOD, CA, OCT. 28 Honda-mounted Larry Dashiel put together back-to-back wins to take top honors in the 250cc and second in the 500cc Pro classes at Sand Hill Ranch. . Dashiel jumped into an early lead, quickly establishing a comfortable advantage ahead of Gr~g Pennington, john Dauth and Suzuki-mounted Howi Ross. Dauth stalled his '85 Honda letting Ross and Suzuki pilot Rich My then by for third and fourth. Pennington kicked sideways and crashed falling out of contention letting Ross and My then by. My then then rode two hard-charging laps and finally passed Ross. By the seventh lap, Dashiel put a clean 10-second gap between second- and third-place riders My then and Ross. At-the end of the second maLO, the three riders finished the same as the first mota: Dasbiel, My then and Ross. Intermediate action in the 250cc class saw Dennis Redding take the holeshot but was quickly passed by Dave Hendershot, on a borrowed Kawasaki, followed by Dan Gessy and Alan Carlson. Then Carlson was passed by Redding for third. When the checkered fell, Hendershot came around in first followed by Dan Gessy and Dennis Redding. Suzuki-mounted Brad Burns got out to an early lead in the 125cc Pro class followed by jeff Pestana and Bill Earl. Pestana pressured Bruns but was never able to catch the Suzuki pilot.
