PERRIS, CA, AUG. 12 The Double Cross Racings Association's DistTict37 Grand Prix was highlighted by Randy Nonnan's 500ce Pro win and I Dale Dondel's 250cc Pro victory. Through the summer heat, a demanding course and fierce competition, Norman and Dondel perservered. As the 500cc division cooked its way through the start sweeper, Larry Lawrence, Randy Norman, Larry Roesolisn and Dirk Houghten led the Pro's. while Mike Price, Bryan Statham and Mike Paulson directed the Intermediates through the infield. All eyes were on Lawrence and Norman as they pulled away from the pack. Roesolisn, Bob RUllen, Houghten and Ronnie Gibson were side by side. By lap two, Norman has surpassed Lawrence, while Gibson dove past Houghten, Rhutten and Roesolisn. The battles were set as the laps ticked by.
