Holmes was later disqualified. kins (Hon) moved inLO second and third while Perez and Mowry untangled themselves on the ground. Perez got going as the second line completed its first lap, and Mowrey pushed his bike to the pits. At the end of tbe next lap Oretega went down at thefini h line jump, handing second LO Perkin. By the late stages of the moLO JetLOn enjoyed a good lead while Perkins tried LO hold off Josh HamilLOn (Kaw) and Brad Fletcher (Yam). Jetton crossed the line a good distance ahead of Perkins, and Perez swept by three riders on the finaJ lap to take third. Hamilton and Fletcher carried their battle to the checkers, and the two crossed the line side by side and locked bars in the air, the nod going to Hamilton despite Fletcher' final try. econd-moto action was much less radical as Perez immediately shot into the lead. Fletcher, Jetton, and Mowry followed, but no one could match Perez as he sped away for the win. About halfway through the moto Fletcher closed in slightly, trying to getaway from Jetton and Mowry, but a lap later backed off slightly as Mowry eased the pressure on Jetton, who in turn slowed enough LO give Fletcher room. Positions remained the same until the finish, although Jetton went down withjustovera lap to go and allowed Mowry to close in. Jetton took second overall to Perez, and Fletcher's 5-2 earned him third. and Stuart Lamont followed the trend on his way LO third. Wilband worked into the lead, Iorcing Didcoll all the way LO fourth. Wilband held on to the lead for the win, although there was a lot of pressure from behind. Garry Roestel's Husky carried him into the lead, but onJy brie[ly, as the Open B race got underway. The fight over the lead positions was fierce throughout the race. In the second lap, Harold Oosterhof move his Yamaha into the lead from third place. Oosterhof and Roestel pulled away from the pack, and set up their own race, dicing back and forth. By lap six, Roestel had a threesecond lead and Oosterhof seemed content with second. However, in lap eight, the pace picked up and 005terhof was gaining, with only a bikelength separating them at times. On the last tum of the last lap, Oosterhof made a daring pass and swept around a surprised Roestel for the win. Results MINI BEG; 1. Tony Ouolls; 2. Cole Gress; 3. Ryon Dietrich. 125 BEG: ,. Cauby, feeling the strain of a three month layoH, putout all he could to maintain third. At the checkers it was Ream, Sendelback, Cauby and Pounds. Close behind was Ronnie Gibson (500cc Pro) and his fourstroke Honda. Cauby was under constant pressure because of his fiat rear tire. Ream's strong hold on the lead did not deter Cauby's and Sendel back's duel, but Cauby's [lat tire linaJly slowed his pace somewhat.
