for the American team. A batch of bad guys was a big minus for the Canadians. Lind/Hart won handily. With 39 emries in 600cc Production, the going was wild. Ted Russo on his new RZ500 Yamaha was out in from of all the craziness. It was obvious that this was the class horse- . power machine. Dick was chasing him with a 500cc Interceptor but was not having much luck in getting past. Three-quarters of the way through the last heat, Russo had momentary brain fade. He attempted to use his old RZ350 braking marker and ran out of track before he made the corner. While Russo didn't fall, Dick was able to scoot past and maintain his advantage to the flag. 600 CAFE: 1. J.P. Vachon (Kaw); 2. Steve Crevier (Yem); 3. Nick Defago (Suz). 125 GP: 1. McCoy ekes out Colorado MX win CONGRATULATIONS Ted Boody - Winner Louisville Half-Mile Thanks for riding with C8strol- Americas #1 Motorcycle 011 Castml 401 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601 By Larry Johnson LAKEWOOD, CO, MAY 27-28 Brant McCoy came back from a first moto fifth-place finish to win the 80cc Expert division today, claiming one of Vickery Yamaha's four, top-class wins. The wins included all the Pro divisions, plus McCoy's 80cc victory. Early in the day, things didn't look promising for McCoy. In mota one, Terry David led the first half of the race before yielding to eventual ~in ner Barry Carson. Carson is also a Vickery rider, so things still looked good for the. Yamaha dealership. Following Carson across the finish line were David, Brian Carson, Derek Brown, and McCoy. Andy Atkins, and then Brown, led the early laps of moto two with Barry Carson and DeLoach in pusuit. Carson crashed, leaving Brown and DeLoach to race, but out of nowhere flashed McCoy. He quickly passed both and rode away for the win, followed by DeLoach. McCoy's 5-1 tally turned out to be good enough for the firs.l place trophy ahead of DeLoach's 6-2 posting. Vickery's Tim Buchli holeshot mota one of the l25cc Pros ahead of Stacey Cook, and led for seven laps until Boo Stichter, working up from a seventh place start, went into the lead. For the next eight laps Stichter, Buehli and Cook dueled fender-to-fender. Then Buchli retook the lead, only to crash on the last lap. Stichter and Cook both passed before he could remount to finish third. Only Buchli and Cook were left to battle in the second go-'round. because Stichter had endoed in his first 250cc Pro mota and injured a shoulCler. Buchli gated first again, with Cook . right behind. The two diced for six laps until Cook fell. allowing Buchli to run away for an easy win. Buchli's final 3-1 count bettered Cook's 2-2 second overall'. Results 60 NOV: 1. Tommy Moats (Kawl; 2.
