regon-Washington-Idaho-Utah-Alask Although the Richmond Ramblers Motorcycle Club had designed the Bearfoot course to take a lot of poinLS from the riders, po tponemenL of the enduro, excellenL weaLher and course conditions made the evenL much faster and easier in the first half. As of press time, a four-way tie was yet unbroken for fifLh overall between MaLL Cullins (Rocky/Smith/Petaluman MC CenLer KTM), Dan eilson (2nd 250 A), Bob Terwilliger (3rd 250 A) and Ron Naylor (2nd Open A). Another tie occured in the Vet A class between winner Don MaLheson (Moore & onslTrick Cycle) and Cycle Gear rider Cliff Glidden who was seconds slower. Many of the B riders joined the A class arrowchasers in gaining extra early points at check one, but then went on to enjoy the twisty trail over the berms in the trees to dieck three. Honda-mounted Dennis HiaLL was the fastest B and Open B class rider through to the finish, scoring 13 poinLS to best the tie between Greg Houle (1st 200 B) and SCOLL Taggan (2nd Open B) by one poinL. Back four more points was the fastest 250 B rider Brian PaLLon (18 poinLs) who was two minutes lower than the first Vet B Dave Standish. Roben Tornai took the Senior B win with 26 points while KaLhyTuma earned the Women B trophy. The best of today's riders lost their only poinLs between checks five and six on the econd half of the course. Tight Lrail and logs slowed the A riders by at least eight poinLs, but Lhen there were diCferenL time schedules to balance things out for the Band C enLranLs. The top C enLranL was Open C winner jonathan Lengley with 22 poinLs, one poinL beLLer than 200 C winner William COUnLS and two poinLS quicker than 250 C winner Brad Clausen. The C class was the only class with enough four-sLrokes entered to award a Lrophy and that went to Richard Powell with 23 points. The C class was also the only class to collect three women enLries and those were jacqueline Childress (1st). Debby Levy (2nd) and julie Duffy (3rd). • WORLD CHAMPION FREDDIE SPENCER WINS ITALIAN GP! r;;:;;~ And Arai Helmets are on top of his ride. ~~ ~-"""""""'IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII~ c:::: ·.CIodIiIl!
