Healey hauls at Riverside's SRAGP· By Jeannette Fisher NATIONAL ENDURANCE SERIES ANNOUNCES RIVERSIDE, CA, MAR. 25 Suzuki's Mike Healey was unbeatable today as he ran away with the 80cc Expert win during Southland Racing Association's GP at Riverside International Raceway. The only rider who could keep Healey within sight was Dallas Baker-sponsored Gene Baldwin, who . finished second overall. Although finishing a ways back of the leaders, Steve Wamboldt settled for third overall but came up with the first-place trophy in the Amateur class. Fourth overall went to the speedy Novice rider Jon Haddad. Haddad's fine ride gave him the overall win in the Novice class. A little over 120 Seniors and Vets anticipated the start, and after the completion of a lap, Open Expert John Alden led the way. However, his lead was short-lived as Dave Aldana moved his 250 into the lead. Soon after, George Luther, also aboard a 250, labored into second, but couldn't gain any distance on Aldana. When the checkered £lag appeared, Aldana had the win locked up ahead of Luther and Open Expert winner Alden. The Seniors finished with Russ Robinson out in front ahead of Ed Duncan, who won the Open Expert class, and John Francis, who topped the 200cc Expert class. The 250cc Expert class saw Mike Baker out in the lead after the first lap pursued by Brett Duncan and Craig Adams. During the second go around, Donnie Morrison picked his way through the pack and passed both Adams and Duncan taking over second. By the third lap, Morrison started to catch Baker, while Adams found a way around Duncan and was glued to Morrison's rear fender. For the next couple of laps, positions remained the same, but with only a few laps to go, Adams slipped past Morrison and set after Baker. But time ran as Baker crossed the finish line first ahead of Adams and Morrison. • THE 24 HOUR WEST Willow Springs Raceway, Rosamond, CA JUNE 9, 10, 1984 The DunloplWERA National Endurance Series is proud to announce the second 24 Hour West as part of Dunlop's $25,000 cash plut, contingency Series.
