We spoke with Team Honda's Danny "Magoo" Chandler on Monday, February 20, and found out that Danny is already halfway down the road to recovery and has been out riding near his home in northern California, after having his jaw severely broken while out practicing. Chandler said, "After spending the last two weeks lying flat on my back, I was glad LO get back up on my feet. Although I was quite dizzy at first, I have improved quite a bit. I had some of the wires in my jaw removed yesterday and hopefully tomorrow the rest will be taken out. I've ridden three times so far and I am pleased with my re ults, even though I still have a lillIe problem with vision." When asked when he thought he would compete again he said, "I won'tcommit mysel£, but I think I will ride the first ational in Florida only if I am up LO 75 to 80%. I won't ride if I am 50%, and that's where I am right now. I think by the third ational I will be 100%." The bill is SB1887, its author is SenaLOr Royce, and it would allow Green Stickie-registered bikes limited access LO public roads for the purposes of connecting trails and refueling. The Seattle Kingdome is going to be the venue for more motorized competition in the near future. Wesco Promotions is hosting the Westem Indoor Championships, and the dual card will be filled by Super Midget cars and short track motorcycles on a specially prepared asphalt oval. The promoters claim to have riders like Mickey Fay, Randy Skiver and Jeff Campbell entered. The date of the event is February 25, and time trials start at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at Ticket Master or at the Kingdome on the day of the event.
