I..Arlzon....atb.rn Nevad. mediate-winner Don Burke (Kaw) and Jason CoUier (PJIIJT/Hon). Burke overtook the Novices early on the first lap and pulled away to race by himself while Wodaszewski made a mistake that allowed Bussey to take the lead. For the next few laps Bussey held a slim lead over Wodaszewski and Collier, both fighting over second and the chance to make a run at Bussey. Wodaszewski held his ground though, and on the fourth go-round passed Bussey and established a small lead. Bussey held off the charging Collier on the final lap and was also dose enough to retake first if Wodaszewski made any mistakes. However, Wodaszewski made no mistakes and held on for the win ahead of Bussey, Collier and Fierro ata distant fourth. The start of the second moto was like an instant replay of the first Wodaszewski in the lead with Bussey, Burke and Gollier close behind. This time Burke took his time getting around the Novices; waiting until the second lap to move to the frontnf the pack and disappearing. By the third lap there were actually two races goingon - Wodaszewski battled with Bussey for the lead while Fierro was busy trying to hold third over Collier. On the following lap Bussey came around alone in first, then ended up on the ground a hon time later. Fierro thus inherited the lead and succes fully repelled the attacks of Collier to win by only a few bikelengths. Bus ey's fall dropped him to fourth behind Wodaszewski, but on the final lap, he wa able to pass the Kawasaki rider forthird. Collier ended the night second overall and Bussey third.
