h-Alaska-Canada- Northern California-N together double-moto wins in the 80cc Intermediate class. Mike Fruzen was another rider bringing home the bacon twice in succession in the highly competitive 125cc Junior division. Paul Turpin chased Fruzen home in both motos. In the 250cc Junior division it was David Dye leading the troops home both times. Mike Norton, who is quite high in the points race, came across second both motos. Danny Robinson had an easier time duplicating the feats of Fruzen and Dye in his class, the Open Junior division, simply because there were far fewer entries. Robinson was expected to win and that may have been his only pressure. Results 80 JR: 1. Andy Urrutia (Yam); 2-:-Tyler Hummel (KJlwl; 3. Lance Lucero (Yem). 80 INT: 1. Jay Duensing (Hon). 125 JR: 1. MX/GPtests Baylands racers By Mike Vancil FREMONT, CA, ocr. 23 1 XMAS SPECIAL BELL TOUR STAR $59.95 The MX Fox, Back to School Motocross Series moved to its first of twO Sunday dates at Baylands Raceway Park as the series winds to a conclusion. This particular day had been anticipated by many of the competitors as a way of sfamming the door on their nearest competitor. The second portion of the racing program was to be the tie breaker in the series if there is a need for such a measure. Too, the longpromised "long course" was to be available for a one-shot Grand Prix type of moto. The CMC riders turned out in strong numbers and were greeted by a picture-perfect day and.a very crowded Baylands racing facility. The first series of mOlOS were run in ,the normal fashion. During the day riders were invited to walk the over-two-mile Grand Prix course which wound all over the Bayland~ property. Incorporated were a few hundred yards of blacktop, grass straights and slippery esses on virgin territory. Tight sections were ribboned orr to slow the riders and give the gear' boxes and suspensions a workout. The I) I ' All Sizes. All Colors W_ V.11ey Suzuki KII_ _1d 704& c.nop Av.. c.nopPlirk.
