Heiberger hauls In Baylands gold By Mike Vancil F:REMONT, CA, OCT. 13 A revitalized Jerome Heiberger on a 250 Honda CR from Contra Costa Honda was able to put together a 2-1 evening to "owin the Professional class at the Thursday night CMC motocross. His chief competitor proved to be Rich My then, who had a I-2 finish record. Close, but not quite enough to grasp victory away from Heiberger. Coming up with third was Rony Richards, who prevailed after Dave Hendershot and Daniel Baker each suffered spills. Other class action saw 19 riders behind the gate for the I25cc Junior motos. Superb starts and smooth, hard riding prevailed in each moto as Yamaha-mounted Alan Carlson worked his way into overall victory. Timothy Caton started the evening off right with a first-moto victory but then stalled his Suzuki during the second while hung up in a deep berm.
