Finishing second in both those classes was Sunnyslope Honda's Bobby White. Another Sunnyslope rider, Steve Pal'terson, holeshot the first mota of the 250's with Todd Kessel and Scott Reddell in tow. Yamaha support rider Tom Witt quickly moved into second, but just as quickly lost control'around the.sweeper and took Apache Honda's Rick Nagle down with him. Patterson, still in the lead, began to get pressure from Blose and White. While Patterson and Blose kept close company, White stayed within striking raJW~1r~'J-~~JJ: ~ ~«; \"p.r~t·9f}J\e bar banging ·and after a lap went down to fourth. Blose held the lead till the half way point, with White taking over for the first mota win. Finishing behind Blose was John Imbriale, Patterson, Maxima's Bruce Peters and Nagle. The walking wounded Nagle, sore from his first mota spill with Witt, pushed into the lead ahead of Blose, Patterson and Camelback Honda's Imbriale. By the starl of the second lap, Blose had moved past Nagle. For the next ten laps the positions would remain till the finish. Blose, Nagle, Imbriale and White all opened up leads on each other. The only battles going on were for fifth place. Apache Honda's Glenn Dawson and Camelback Honda's' Eric Kirk slugged it out with Kirk taking a DNF and Dawson taking the fifth. With only four laps left Nagle started to slowly eat away Blose's lead. He reeled him in and slid oy on the back section before taking the white flag. That win' tallied with his first moto sixth garnered him a fourth overall finish behind Imbriale, White and Blose; third, second and first, respectiveIy. Results v ZINGER: 1. J.T. Stewart (Vam): 2.
