Raceway motocross tonight, but
tnere were no easy victories.
The Professional action seemed to
concel1lrate among the quarter-liter
s~ on this particular night. No 500s
'showed up, and the I 25cc shoot-out
!was only a three·rider duel over which
-~':Ilen Silhanek and his freshly ringed
-Yamaha presided.
~rl he 250s were the icing on the
Ike, and the two motos were quite
itissimilar. In the first, Mike Holmes
capitalized on the misfortunes of Jeff
Holder and Tony Richards, and on
-his own smooth riding to hold off
'Rich My then and Jerome Heiberger.
"(he final 250cc moto found Holmes
on the receiving end of trouble and
finished well back. My then powered
illto the lead and kept all at bay. Hi
2;-1 finishing order for the evening
insured overall victory over Heiberger.
£Vho had to climb from mid-field
tarts, and Dan Baker, who rode in
hjs wake each moto.
