safety problems? Why can't the AMA
have a check-off list of factors determining track safety to review with
the riders appointed to examine the
track in advance? The check-off list
should reflect the cumulative experience obtai ned over the years of the
AMA putting on races.
Wh.y can't we require rapid attention by track or AMA officials to any
new safety problems not forecasted
in advance? Rapid decision making
by concerned officials is imperative.
Why can't we require a short rider's meeting before the start of practice on Friday, Saturday and Sunda
to review special track problems?
Why can't we do this now so w
don't have to ask why another Hugh
or Mark died in a non-racing trac~
accident?
