Shockey bauled with track racing
specialists Rod Reynolds, Ricky
Henson and Kelly Perkins in me 15lap main, with Shockey coming away
v~torious. Reynolds ended up with a
second in me 250 class, mough he
won me 125cc Expert race earlier in
the evenig. Caldwell's Kelly Perkins
pulled a super holeshot in the heat
race to zap Reynolds, Henson,
Shockey, et a1 in me first 250cc goround, but had to sellie for fourth in
the main. Henson copped me Open
Expert win aboard his custom-framed
Yamaha thumper.
Tn the B ranks, it was Meridian's
Larry Cowles edging out Terry Anderson. Cowles has been playing second
fiac!1e lO Anderson most of this season, butlOnight was his turn. Andersod narrowly won the heat race, but
couldn't hold of[ the charging Cowles
in ihe main.
