Spear stabs win at DeAnzaMX A pair of rid.... dice over the DeAnz8 course. By Kit Palmer majority of entrants ran the event with just the stock headlights on their enduro bikes, and for the most part the small beams were up to the task, especially if two or three riders rode together. Billed as "a real easy fun event," the course layout nonetheless made the riders work for their trophies and finisher pins. Made up of sandwashes and rocky, whoopy trails around Anderson Dry Lake, the course would have been fairly easy if run in the daytime, but at night and with lots of dust, it was all the challenge most of the riders needed.
