On the fourth restart it was Robinson leading Curry and reserve rider
Craig Elstins. Robinson was an easy
winner; however. it was not the way
he wanted to win. Yarrow placed
second on the night and there was a
lie for third between Faria and Ron
McGill. Unfortunately the overanxious crowd stormed the track following the conclusion of event 20.
and for safety and security reasons a
run-off was impossible. The security
guards were busy protecting the
referee I
Event 20 started at 9:59 p.m. and
concluded at 10:35. Sometimes in
situations like this people really show
a lack of intelligence. There were
those who accused Robinson of fix·
ing his own championship with the
referee, but there was no one more
upset about the outeome of the night
than Robinson because it took away
(rom the victory.
