Hi-Point Pro MX Boots The new H i-Point Pro MX Boots are, without a doubt, the hottest boots going if you 're looking for maximum protection a lon g with comfort. Th e Pro model boots ha ve th e stainless steel shin pl ate which Hi Point's hav e been recognized by for over a decade. Other than that, th ey're totally new . The standard Hi-Point boots provide great protection. However, the Pro model boots have many features which increase the levels of both protect ion and comfort. Plus, th e new boots ca n be put on in a flash . New buckles are the trick. Each boot ne eds only four of th e stainless steel ca maction buckles to secure a proper fit. The bu ckl es appear to be rather fragile. but after three months of use in enduro and hare scramble competition , th e bu ckles are still doing their job. And, no , the buckles don 't pop open . The boot s feature a unique sole that has a series of horizontal ridges along with ro unded edges. A sloped heel prevents snagging your foot whi le sliding through corners. Smooth MX soles giv e an enduro or hare scrambles rider a too-slick traction less feel. The Pro so le has a ll the advantages of a cleated enduro so le, but doesn 't collect mud that can weigh them down. A raised design in the instep area prevents your feet from slipping off the foo tpegs even when m uddy or wet. . The portion of the boots whi ch protect the inside of your legs now contains a pad. Plastic inserts, inside the leather boots, are located around the a nkle, heel, arch, shifting area and the entire toe section of the boots. They provide additional ankle 'support which a llows one to stay up on the pegs longer without tiring. The boots are availab le in tradi tional black a s well as fashionconscious red and blue. I haven't mentioned any negative points, because I haven 't found any. You don't have to be a pro to wear the new Hi-Point Pro MX Boo ts, just someone who wants the best protection ava ilable. As with everything in life, you have to pay a bit more to get the " best." The Pro model boots retail for $154.95 .
