After fans had waited through the winter season, their hunger for speed way was well sa tisfied wi th some great racing a t the Coors Spring Cl a ssic h eld at th e Orange .12 Cou nty Fa irg rounds. Harry O xley and Coors brought together a host of riders that read like the " Who's Wh o" in Speedw a y a nd thi s '83 Sprin g Classic was a sneak preview of th e exci ting seaso n to come. All 20 events were thrill ing, a nd th e traction seemed to tell the story. The good bite worked for Shawn Moran a nd fo und him winning wi th a perfect score of 15 points. Still bo thered by a bac k in jury, Sch wanz (Bel-Ray/ Oakley J aw) only scored th ree points Friday n ight and o bviously wasn 't o ne of th e favorites for Sunday's "War of San Bern ard in o."
