Andy Bart h and J eff Frandsen were at the front of the Novices and Do ug Fu nderburg and Skeeter Elmore headed up the Beginner start. When they began the second la p , Scott and Cobham were well o u t in front of everyo ne else. They continued their battle throughout a nd finished in that same order. I Frandsen faded by mid-race and John Downey got by to take and hold the lead. Frandsen managed to hol d off Mark Christian and finished second.
