Team Dyn am ic Prol Am rider Mark McLar en looked very professional for th.ree la~s c:>f th e secon d qualifier , but faded to finish, Moto-X FoxlWD-40 sponsored Steve Burdett e led Illinois' Greg Randa and Nevada 's David Wea k to David Dye's chec kered £lag. New York's Carlo Coen, in only hi s seco n d pro race, pl ayed rabbit in th e fir st m on ey a nd point paying m ot o, leading J ordan, Chris H o ward, R a nds an d Dennis Daft. Bu t j ordan did hi s thing after lap one and the moro was his. In th e second and fina l moto, Texan Terry Tinney and J ames Veugler made it interesting for J ordan , with Daft, Coen and Mark Flesia also in co nte n tio n. Bu t once again it was Jorda n ac ross the fin ish lin e fir st. J ord an exp lai ned h is failure to run away w ith th e moto: " J u st as I was lining up Veugler, he did an endo. I dodged him a n d smacked a tree with m y left shou lder and th at slowed me down a bit. " Co lorado 's Flesia took seco nd to ea rn third overa ll a nd Steve Burdette was thi rd for seco nd ove ra ll.
