At the end of the day, I mounted by " tr u st steed" to go home and it wouldn't start, Not being able to start it myself, I trucked it to a motorcycle shop to have the problem diagnosed. T he diagnosis: T he stator assembly syste m . Cost for replacement: $200. After recovering my senses. I was determined to have th e work done at a cheaper cost. Much to my chagrin. I found that the parts I needed to effect the re pair alone cost i n the neighborhood of $320-380 (prices C r new o parts from various H o nda dealers) , It was during this time I remembered th e motorcycle mechanics' p rogram at L os Angeles Trade-Tech nical Col lege whe re they repa ir m o torcycles as part of their training program.
