Kight took command and proceeded to fight a ragi ng pack down to th e wire. Denn ing wa s relentless. a nd a classic Yamaha-Suzu ki co nfro nta tion took form. By rn oto 's end. Kight and Denning sailed across th e line in first a nd second. respectively. leavin g in thei r wak e a battle for th ird between Carroll Ri cha rdson and Don T uck with Ri chardson hangin g to th ird .
