Brazier took a third , Westwood fourth and Francico Andrad e was fifth. The seco nd moto was red flagged wh en King went down a t the start and was unable to continue . Wh en th e moto was restarted it was Mike Pomajevich out in front a hea d of Carp enter, Brazier, Westwood and Solorano. Carpenter moved into th e lead when Pomajevich slid out on th e third lap and dropped back to eig h th .' Solorano passed Westwood on the back straight for third a nd then moved . into second, passing Brazier on lap five. Solorano started dicing with Carpenter on the seventh lap and made a clea n pass fo r th e lead on the ninth . Solorano held Carpenter off on the last lap to take th e win but Carpenter took th e overa ll . Bra zier fini shed in third. Westwood fourth and Ken Hardy fifth . In th e 250cc Pros it was Jon Faure getting the hol eshot o ver Tom Browne, Mark Howell, Ch ris H arrold and Woody Carlson. Carlson started to thrill the crowd as he made his first move towar d the lead by passing H arrold on the second lap. Carl son was riding two seconds faster per la p time tha n th e rest of th e field as he moved into th ird , passing Bro wn e on the bac k straight of lap four. On the next lap Carlson moved up one more p lace, passing H o well for seco nd. Ca rlson took the lead on the eigh th lap whe n he passed Faure. Two la ps la ter it was H arro ld movin g up one place into fou rth when Bro wn e slid o ut . After sliding o ut Browne sta rte d ha vin g un explain ed troubles a nd slowly started to fade. At th e sta rt of the last lap Fa ure was p utting th e pressure o n Carlso n to regain th e lead whe n hi s bike sta lled out for th e night. Carlson cruised in for the win with Howell movin g in to second a nd H arrold to third. R andy Norman a nd Sco tt Meyer moved into fourth a nd fifth with Brown e dropping back to sixth. Just befor e the start of the second moto Carlson got a flat rear tire and was forced to borrow a nother bik e. After th e first la p it was Howell o u t in front ahea d of Brown e, Meyer, H a rro ld , Norman a nd Carlson. H arrold sta rted th e ac tio n this time wh en he passed Meyer for third o n th e second la p . Two laps la ter Meyer slid out and dropped to the back to sixth behind Norman a nd Carlson . On lap five Browne passed Howell for the lead a nd Ca rlso n moved into fo urth . On th e next la p Carlson was tryin g to pull even wi th H arrold in third w hen he slid o u t a nd dr opped to the back of th e pack. Browne lost the lead wh en he was passed by Howell an d H arro ld on lap nin e and th en he fell o n th e next lap, droppi ng to sevent h. On the last lap H arrold made a perfect pass on Howell for a tie-breaking overall win . Norman finish ed in third, Meyer fourth a nd Carlson also mad e a last lap pa ss for fifth over Pau lson .
