The show wa s all Rodgers as he stretched h is lead on the way to victory . McMahon took second while Krogh held on to third. MOIO two was a carbon copy of the fir st. Rodgers grabbed the early lead pursued by McMahon and Krough . McMahon stayed within striking distance throughout the ra ce. ready to take advantage of a ny mistake. Mik e Dondel (Ya m) or Hemet took co m ma nd of the Mini Novice class. leading every lap in each rnoro 10 capture the victory. Taking second was Hemet's Walter Elicken (Yam) . who took second each time out. Mike Meire (Kaw) held on to third for Esperanza. Esperanza placed 1-2 in the 175cc Novice class after Steve Jensen (Suz) took the win followed by teammate Scott Holmes (Yam). Jeff Winder (Yam) of Cerritos combined a 3-2 score for third. There was no taming Kawasaki of Pomona's Rick Rodgers in the 250cc Pro class although Malcolm Smith's Vince McMahon (Yam) tried. FEB. 7 Racing was a littl e more specia I last Sunday at DeAnza Cycle Parkwhen many handicapped people of the Riverside County Rehabilitation Center or Nuevo came o u t 10 spectate th e da y's racing. They seemed 10 enjoy watching the fast and furiou s action just as much as the riders. Man y riders ca me out this weekend in preparation for the upcoming 30minute Saturday rnotos beginning February 27. One rider who doesn't need much preparation is Pomona Valley Kawasaki's Rick Rodgers. Rodgers took complete command of the 250cc Pro class by capturing the win each time out. At the start of moto one it was Rodgers who rocketed into the lead followed by a duo of PVK riders, Don Hoover and Fred Nichols. In fourth was Frank Hoover (Suz), It wasn't long before Rodgers had developed a sizeable lead. The battle over second was already in .the works,
