Each week more and more competitors show up to test their' skills on the oval and mini off. road tracks on Thursday nights. one as he styled on his Yamaha Tri· ~:~~wSecond place went to Mike Ova. - 3-Wheel Class one went to a young lady, Debbie Sedillas, who dominated both Oval and Off· Road events. Behind Sedillas was ATV News Editor Lance Bryson, S·2, racing for his first time and doing a great job, thanks going to Keith Reeves of American Honda who brought out the '82 Odyssey for Lance. Bryson was surprise to find these aren't just a U·Drive Kart race, but take skill to drive in the comers and bumps. Pressuring Bryson was Myron Hemley (6·S). Bob Morris and Jack Kelly drove an exciting race, testing each other around the track trying different lines. Jeff Bagley also was driving a good race, but pulled off and complained of nerfing in the comers. Morris finished second with a close 1·2 score behind Kelly's 2·1 in Class three, Division One. DavidJones' 1·2 wasn't good enough to best Al Robertson's 2·1 score in Class three, Division Two. Class five winner Ron Bums drove to an easy win in both heats. In the first heat Bran Van Keoren and Ken Rikers DNF, but finished the second heat. Tim Cheek and Jack Wilson, in his Mark C. Bloome-sponaored Odyssey. In the fIrst race of the evening, George Ferrie went out and cleaned up taking the first place trophy with a 1·1 score ahead of Paul Nagel, who fin· ished 2·2 in Class six. Bob Reynolds also went 1·1 to take the overall ahead of Stan Kinsey and Dennis Clark of Class three. It was no problem for Mike Shorrow in Class four, since he was alone to trophy. As the classes eight and seven speed· sten came out, the spectaton watched RoJ:> Se1vy take the lead from start to finish, but not easily as Derek Davidson challenged Selvy on his S60cc Mugen U.S.A.·sponsored 250R in the first heat. Davidson won the second heat ahead of Se1vy and Duce Stewart. Davidson's 2·1 score gave him the over· all. Chris White completely smoked the Class seven riders in both the Oval and Off·Road events. It was obvious that White's bike wasn't stock. A protest at the end of the night proved he had a nice poning job which disqualified him. The overall went to Ken Maler S· 2 and second placer David McNealy 2· S. In Class five, Cameron Davidson tore up the track and nearly lapped every- OdY"~y
