"Ramblin' Ronnie" Densford just got back from his long haul to Ponca City, OK, for the NMA Grand National Championships. Densford got back in time so he could join in with the others for the AME Summer Series and tonight his efforts paid off with three fmt place wins. The Pee Wee Modified Expert race fell into his hands as well as the 61cc Stock and Modified Intermediate 9·11 races, admittedly against little opposi· ' tion. The 80cc Stock Junior 9·1 I race was Qne of the best of the night. Matt Har· rison took fmt in each mota but it was . a struggle for the others who tried to work their way up to pass him. Troy Cline was second in the first moto on his T&O Yamaha. In the fmal moto Alan Pierce passed Cline and was pressuring Harrison who was really pushing it, even hitting the tire pole at the finish line. Overall it was Harrison, Pierce, Cline and Tony Mercier. While David "River Rat" Chambers had the SOcc Stock Intermediate 12 + race to himself, the Juniors were having a battle. Richard Bates got the jump on everyone in the fmaI mota but he slid out on a sandy section. First mota winner Tom Dignard flew by while shaking his head and looking back because he couldn't believe it. This gave Dignard the overall win ahead of William Crawford and Bates. While Richard Bates did no better than a third, his brother Shawn ran away with an 80cc Stock Beginner 9-11 win. Coming clORSt to Shawn. was Matt Rasdel while Rich Smith was third.
