In amateur action, Gary Bowman
breezed to the 125cc Intermediate win
by sweeping both motos. Bowman
kept his Suzuki Floater out front of the
sometimes confusing battle for second
place between Suzuki riders Doug
O'Donnel and Jim Connoly and
Yamaha rider Dennis Hulen.
O'Donnel followed Bowman to the
fmish in race one while Connoly
finished third. Moto two ran to a
different script however and O'Donnel
dropped to fourth with Hulen
grabbing second place and Connoly
slipping to fourth behind Yamahamounted Craig Cable. O'Donnel
ended the day with runner-up honon
behind Bowman while Hulen nailed
down third.
Jan Murray topped the Women's
Expert class on her Premier Yamaha
water-pumper. Murray had a perfect
day, wmning both motos despite tough
competition from Yamaha rider
Karen Leitinger, who finished second
overall. Lori Farmer and Charleen
Higgins traded finishing position on
their Yamahas with Higgins picking
up third overall and Farmer claiming
fourth.
