When the big bore machines came to life for the second time, Oswell's Maico moved on ahead and refused to let Gambetta, or anyone else for that matter, take over. Luckily by the first moto things had cleared up, and it was another great day of MX racing. Twenty·two Old Timen MX ASIlociation members were on the line for the half-hour motos. The track had some changes as many of us found out at practice. There were six races and we completed our second moto by 2 p.m. Masten and Experts went flrst followed by Amateun and Novices. Master Jim Beltinck gassed his Maico into fint place in both motos. He just got right out there and took command of the track to win fint overall. Marvin Olson blasted into the second spot in both motos. Expen Chuck Woody really had a great day, putting his new Suzuki 465 through the paces and running away with both motos. George Spearing took the second place win in moto one. as Bob Berdyck smoothly put his Maico into third. Moto two saw Buzz Moeller aggreuively take a second with Bob Crandall the third Expert to crOll that finishing line. ...... 00 (j) ......
