The last test of the ,day wu a 10·
man, five lap motOC1'c.. Suzuki's Ray
Colgrove took the first race in 711
seconds followed by local rider Steve
Church and Bruce Ogilvie, both on
Yamahu.
Husky's Terry Cunningham led the
second moto until he fdl, which let
Frank Gallo storm on to win in 678
seconds. At some point during the
moto, ho~, he lost his route card
holder and wu unable to find it later.
Gallo also picked up 60 route points
for burning the check before the
second grus traclt.
Mike Rc-o led the third race until
falling back to fourth behind Jack
Penton, Suzuki·mounted Dean Joyner
and Vic Ely. Penton WOD with a 711
with Joyner second at 7~S. ROIIIO got
by Ely for third.
In the fourth moto. Frank Stacy
started the quickest and led the whole
way with a winning time of 684
seconds. Teammate Jeff Fredette
stayed within striking distance until he
fell in a muddy section following lOme
double jumps and ltilled his engine
momentarily. He finished six seconds
back with Darryl Kuenzer third at 7~5.
Milte Melton took his Husky to the
fifth moto win in 70S seconds with
I~Scc rider Kevin Brown racing his
Husky to second with a 7~S after
faIlinK once.
Rod Bush wu never headed in the
sixth race u he won in 7~0 with Dick
Burleson two seconds behind, plagued
with a stielting throttle.
