CORONA, CA, APR. 10
The Open Pro class at Corona

a great money maker for the local
hotshoes until recently. The class

didn't ~ exist, but t~ last few
months ha~ ~n a notabl~ incre~ in
both siz~ and quality of big ~ racing.

facing t~ wrong di~tion. ~ managed to tak~ ~r t~ numbu two spot,
but G~way wasted no tim~ in ~t
ting back into th~ action. Th~ ~ry
next lap saw Gr~nway r~tak~ second
platt from ~ as t~ Husky rid~r
_nt down. Wh~ ~ whit~ flag cam~
out G~nway mad~ his push towards
t~ front, passing K~LLy and putting
himJc:1f on top. But with only a few
tuma to go bdott th~ cbmued fla"
G~y gave it back to Kelly by pulling a "Laul[h-In" styl~ crash at the top
of an uphill. T~ move COlt him th~
eecond moto win, but that didn't
bother him much with the ovmaII vic-
tory .wrapped up. Kelly was second
overall with his !I-I run whik B ~
was third in t~ second moto for third
ovuaLL.
Eric MacCrack~n (Yam) was again
th~ winner of th~ 250cc Pro class, running away with ~ lap of both
motos. Many MiLLu (Yam) proved
capabl~ of staying with MacCrack~n,
but DNF both motOi. ~ond plac~
m~ w~t to Scott Wilkinson (Hon)
who diced back and fonh with Rock
