No~ Bob doesnt like to spoil a good time. But this thing had gone far enough. He had spent the last twelve months getting back into shape after trying to part the sea with a water-ski. And he had seen someone not named Hannah walk offwith the coveted 250cc title for the first time in recent histo~ Well, the drought is over: On April 5, the"Hurricane"blew into Saddleback Park on his Keith McCarty-tuned Yamaha 250 and dampened the competitions spirits by taking the overall win in the Coors/Yamaha 250 National. Both motos were hotly contested, with Bob up to his old tricks, plus a few new ones.When the dust had settled, the largest crowd in the park's historywas treated to one ofthe most familiar sights in l\1X racing: Bob Hannah in the winners circle. The win put Bob just a handful of points behind the leader in the '81AMA 250 National ChampionshipSeries. Although Bob admits he's still not 100%, he did serve notice to the rest of the competition. This years pimic has been cancelled on account of Hurricane. 7
