With one lap to go he was in fourth but a dramatic last minute effort brought him all the way up to second. close behind Brooks. The second bout saw Mazzacane jump into an early lead and take it all the way home. Brooks and Ron Rehnquist '(Yam) likewise started in second and third respectively and remained there throughout the race. The dicing was back in fourth between Billy Handel (Hon) and "Mad Man" Anderson (Yam). Anderson came out in front when Handel crashed on the last lap. The 125cc Pro class was a frustrating experience for Rod Brand -(Suz) who ran away with the first moto then crashed in the second. finishing seventh. The win went to Eric Hall on his LOP Yamaha with a 3-1 ride while Vamey Holbrook (Hon) went 4-2 for second and Don Hardins (Suz) went 2-4 for third. Chris Scott (Suz) won both motos of the 125cc Intermediate class while Andy Kaplan (Suz). John Grigsby (Yam) and Chris Heinrich diced for the number two spot. Heinrich made his move on the last lap of the last moto. passing first Kaplan, then Grigsby for second. Eric MacCracken again topped the 250cc Pros with little difficulty. Advanced Cycle rider Fred Combs (Yam) led in the first moto, but crashed and wound up taking a fifth. He came back for second place in moto two to place third overall behind Rock Temple (Yam). ~ -, .....
