The special t~t for all the dub entries for the dub challenge started at 1 p.m. on the Candy Ass Hill. Along with the best enduro times per team, the special test was really the whole ball of wax. From a dead engine start right at the base of Candy Ass Hill, all dub members would line up. As the flag was dropped, so did the kick starters. The dock was then started and when the 10th rider croued the finish line that was that club's score. The special test had to be less than one mile and everyone in the pits had box seats. The San Diego Team had the rights to attack the hill fint. Moto: crosser Woody Carbon put his Uni· · Trak Kawuaki atop the hill in ayle and wasted little time arriving to the checkered flag way ahead of his teammates. Maybe Carbon's moto· cross expertise pumped his fellow San Diego riders becausC they turned in the best team score for the special test and only loSt: 2!1 total points. The winning time· was one minute, !II seconds. This time just edged out the Ridge Riders (1 :!I!I) and the third place finishers, the BarBenders West and UEA. The scoring was so close that the San Diego Team defeated UEA by one enduro point and four seconds on the special test. Congratulations to all the riders and clubs that entered. Although the San Diegq Team and UEA were very close, the following tearns made the Candy Ass a team I:haIlenge. The Bar Benders West won third overall with !l0 points, and the Ridge Riders were fourth ahead of the Seizures, -Chaparrals, BarBenders Southwest, Horney Toads and fmally the Limpin Lizards.
