swarm of factory-sponsored Honda and Yamaha

more than 90 bikes.
The event was the 3rd
Annual Paris-Dakar Raceprobably the longest,

stamina test on earth.
The Rally began in Paris
on New Year's Day, portaged
from France to Algeria,
then across the North African and Sahara Deserts
through deep sand, rocky
stretches and the depths of
the Mali Jungle, finishing
