By Dick Ainsworth WICHITA, KS, AUG. 2S Californian Chris Carr won three championship titles in IT Scram· bles the week before at Lake Kanopolis, KS, and this weekend he extended the total to five as he won both the 85cc Senior Modified and the lOOcc Schoolboy at the AMA Minicyc1« National Championship Shon Track hosted by the Wichita Jeeps M.C. And it took him less than two laps in each race to grab the lead and then speed to victory. Championship finals Willy McKinney took the lead in the 85cc Junior Stock final over RobbIe Blagg and Brian Atherton. On lap two both Blagg and Atherton got by McKinney and they began to open up a gap on the field while battling fo~ the lead. Darell Davis and Randy Turbett were fighting over fourth while Greg Duvall and Jason Festavan were on the move making up for lost ground afler a poor start. On the last lap both Duvall and Festavan got by McKinney for third and fourth wHile Blagg, who won a TT title the week before, won by several lengths over Atherton. George Roeder II made it to the final as the first alternate in the 85cc Senior Modified. When the light turned green, Eddie Alberti took the lead but Buddy Wilson, Mark Dukes and John Kocinski crashed in the rust turn thus the red flag came out. On the restart Chris Carr took the lead but Wilson crashed hard again and an· other red flag came out. The final restart had Scottie Scherb leading Carr until the back. chute when Garr took over. Next lap had Winkie Frank Freitas take over third as Carr began to open up a big lead. Midway Kocinski moved up to battle Freitas for third for a lap until Freitas pulled off the track with a dead motor. Aaron Hill moved up to battle Kocinski but couldn't get by. Wayne Frampton took an early 5lcc lead with Michael Hale and Audie Huff close behind. Hale took the lead on the next lap as Huff moved Frampton back to third. Huff went berzerk.o and staned driving harder and deeper into the turns until he got into a turn too hot and ran off the track. At the midway mark Hale had 20 bike· lengths on Frampton and Jason Hill. On the sixth lap Huff crashed hard and the red flag came out. The race was declared over and Hale crowned the winner. Kevin Parault led Robby Oliver off the line in the 65s but on the next lap Jason Festavan slipped under Oliver for second. By lap four Ray West, Jr. was in founh and a lap later he and
