We ran a photo of Damon Bradshaw and a photo of Jeff Stanton on the
cover of Cycle News 30 years go. Bradshaw won the final Supercross
round of the season at the L.A. Coliseum, but Stanton wrapped up the
championship... FIM 500cc GP MX points leader American Billy Liles
suffered a broken femur at the Italian GP... Suzuki introduced its 1991
RM125 that redefined the meaning
BNG (bold new graphics)... Little-
known Tommy Norton stunned
the off-road world when he won the
Blackwater 100 on a 125cc.

Superbike Championship at Laguna Seca... We interviewed Colin
Edwards and Mat Mladin... Alex Barros won the 500cc GP at the
Dutch TT... The rain-delayed Lima Half Mile saw Chris Carr take the
victory 20 years ago... Our 600cc Sportbike Shootout ran its course at
Spring Mountain Speedway in Pahrump, Nevada... Paul Edmondson
won the Brownsville GNCC in Pennsylvania.
Thirty years ago, Suzuki introduced its 1991
RM125 motocrosser. Could this be when the term
"BNG" (bold new graphics) got its start?
(Right) Promoter Edison Dye organized the
"European Invasion" that played out at Saddleback
Park and White Rock MX 50 years ago.
