Second overall finisher Joaquin Picazo was on ly a ble to lead the flying Johnson briefly in eac h m oto. Once aga in the pits em p tied and th e stands filled when th e 250cc Int ermediates ca me to the gate to see Dan Watson take on a nother fine field . And once again Watson put 'em all awa y in the first lap of each moto to lead the entire 16 lapsl T he only challengers were Bob by Baldwin in th e first moto, and J oh n Sotelo in th e second go. 'round. Sotelo's second place in the second moto netted him a tiebreaker second overall over a charging Matt Hope. In the I25cc Intermediates, a near instant re play of late week's cr asher was enacted , and An Corbin once aga in was th e benefactor with a nother na rr ow win over Don Seay . As al ways, it's ha rd to choose be tween the 250cc and 125cc J uniors for the wildest races of the night, but this race it had to be the I25s as it wound up a three way tie with the Town and Country Kawasaki team of Eric Solorzano and Rodolfo Sevilla running 1·2 off 3-1 and 2·2 finishes respectively. John Scholder had th e tight third place with a 1·3 effort , The 250cc Juniors featured what should be Richard Baugh's last Junior win as the second year racer ca me up with a 2-1 effort for the win and two Superbowl tickets. And finally, you r announcer/reponer 's " Bou nty Trophy" on Jamie Conney in t he Pee Wees still belongs to Jamie as th e "Blonde Bombshell" on ce again zapped the Gaumond brothers two for two. Somewhat by default however , as Eddie and Norman Gaumond ended up in a heap off one of th e big infield jumps, and the second moto was called at that po int.
