The axle on the water truck destroyed itself but fortunately the good 48 and finished fourth a head of Gormley. La nce Moorewood (Yam ) mo tored to the lead in moto two with Gorm ley and Bryan Maloney (Hon) hot on his tra cks. By lap th ree Turner again had mo ved from fifth to second and made his move on Gormley. Scott Johnson (H on) was running in fourth with Northrup trying everything in the book to get by Johnson . On lap 11, Johnson slowed to a crawl with the loss of his seat. No rthrup then held onto th ird with Maloney fourth . The moto ended this way with Turner agai n winning with a 1-1 score. Northrup got second overall with two good rides and Gormley (5 ·2) was third. Chris .H eisser (Hon) led the 125cc Pro field in moto one but Johnson and Rich Jackson (Yam) were there to haunt Heisser's water-cooled Honda . By lap four, Johnson had taken the lead and Gormley had moved to second ahead of Jackson. Johnson was really on the gas, turning 1:40 (T urner, in th e 250cc and Open cla sses, was turning laps right around 1:42). Johnson was too much for th e rest of the field and won hands do wn. Gormley was second with Jackson th ird over Heisser and Cu rt McCuistion (Kaw). Moto two was much of th e sa me. Johnson again won with some threa ts from A.J . Whiting (Yam) in the later moments of the race. Heisser was third and second overall. Third overall went to Jackson with Whiting fourth . Results MINI JR: 1. R. Rogers IVam); 2. H. Ell. (!(aw); 3. D.
