Sunday, May IS-The tiny
community of Jones
Creek was jolted by a predictable
phenomena when Team
Kawasaki's A rider Kevin Lavoie
exploded to take the Overall Win
in the Oregon National Enduro.
Kawasaki teammate Ted
Leimbach rumbled in close
behind to win first place in the
250cc class.
In the shadow of a smoldering Mt. St. Helens, the Kawasaki
Team performance was the result
of skilled, aggressive riders
matched with the strength and
dependability of Kawasaki offroad competition motorcycles.

250cc Class
The Oregon National Enduro
was no easy mudslide. Over 60 %
of the 126 miles were flat-out fire
roads demanding maximum
horsepower. Steep shale hills
tested the Kawasaki's traditional
tractor-like torque and dizzying
downhills and drop-offs sagged
out all but the strongest
suspension systems.
This is no smoke, and they
proved it in Oregon .. . when you
are on a mean green Kawasaki
you can really kick ash!
