Kawasaki teammate Ted Leimbach rumbled in close behind to win first place in the 250cc class. In the shadow of a smoldering Mt. St. Helens, the Kawasaki Team performance was the result of skilled, aggressive riders matched with the strength and dependability of Kawasaki offroad competition motorcycles. . - " Ted Leimbach 250cc Class The Oregon National Enduro was no easy mudslide. Over 60 % of the 126 miles were flat-out fire roads demanding maximum horsepower. Steep shale hills tested the Kawasaki's traditional tractor-like torque and dizzying downhills and drop-offs sagged out all but the strongest suspension systems.
