to be th at mu ch of a threat , bu t he
came alive in the last few laps , pulling
along side Gormley severa l tim es.
When they crossed th e finish line , it
was Gormley on top , but on ly by a half
of a wheel. Mike Edson (Yam ) was
third throughout the race after an
early challenge by second time Pro
Ryan Eide (Suz).
For th e fourth time in the same day ,
Gormley pulled th holeshot and th is
time Raymer was several places back,
giving chase to Edson and Eide,
Gormley used the time to build a
strong lead and by the time Raymer
moved into second there was littl e
chance of him catching up . Again
Gormley took the win after leading
every la p of all four motos he raced in .
The I25cc results read the same in
both motos ,
In the 250cc Intermediate class
Scott Wilkinson (Kaw) put in a
fantastic second moto ride to take top
honors. Wilkinson's first moto began
with a mediocre start and ended with
third place, only inches behind second
placer Steve Hodapp (Yam). Bob
Carpenter (Suz) had taken the moto
easily. In round two , however ,
Wilkinson got the start and was gone.
Carpenter, on th e other hand . got the
mediocre start this time and wound up
third beh ind Dave Halverson (Yam) .
Overall it was Wilkinson, Carpenter,
Hal verson , Ma rtin Klopman (C-A)
and Hodapp.
