;anada -Northern California-Northern N his second road race . an d first race at PIR, won 250cc Single GP on a beautifully prepared Honda . Dan is sponsored by Wasco Frame and shows a smooth, fast and mature approach to road racing. Two good looking side hacks showed up to race and although three rna chines ar e normally required to run a class , the race directors decided to let them run anyway. Bruce Lind, one of the best Northwest road racers on two wheels , narrowed the field to one, however, when he pulled a spectacular highside with th e TZ750-powered threewheeler and the hacks did not run. Bob Allen made a very successful move from monkey in sidehacks to solo on two wheels , as he took a solid third in Open Single GP behind Diane Prutsm an and Mike Marr . After race-long dicing in th e front positions in 125c c GP , Tod Dressel , own er of Honda/Yamaha of Astoria , and Peter Jacobson . sponsored by Tod, took first and second. The steady growth of road racing at PIR continues. Ever increasing numbers of entrants and spectators come to enjoy the ambience of a readily accessib le pit area, easy mov em ent around the track to good , close views of the action , and a safe track that does not unduly punish the normal miscalcula tions .
