Brien Meloney leeds Gery Ogden in CMC S8ddlebeck ectlon.
-
Gibson holeshot moto two but
Tamietti took the lead away on the
downhill as Steve Banning moved his
Kawasaki into third. Gibson kept the
pressure on and regained the lead a
lap later as Ogden moved past Banning and into third place. Tamietti
kept the throttle southbound and
twisted and really made Gibson work
to hold onto the lead but at the finish
once again Gibson was the winner fol·
lowed by Tamietti, Ogden. Maloney
and Reisinger. Overall Ogden picked
up second behind Gibson and Reisinger
took home the third place money.
The first moto of the Open Pros saw
Tamietti jump into the early lead and
then have Gibson roost his way past.
Gibson had the reservoir on the left
shock of his Honda come loose and he
kept a watchful eye on the bouncing
aluminum cylinder for a few laps hut
never shut off the gas and easily out·
distanced Tamietti for the win as
Andy Guth took third.
Guth put on the ride of his life as he
holeshot moto two and held off Gibson
for awhile. Gibson finally took over the
lead as he passed Guth in mid-air over
the double jumps and headed for the
finish. Tamietti worked his way past
Guth also and that's the way they
finished the moto and the overall.
