Team Suzuki continued to roll over the opposition with wins in both the 125 and 250cc segments of the Coors/Yamaha National Championship Motocross races at Saddleback Park.
Fonner minicycle champ Brian
Myerscough won both 125cc
motos by a clear-cut margin
while teammate Kent Howenon

came from back in the pack to win the
first 250cc moto, then finished two
lengths behind Yamaha's Marty Tripes
in the second race.
Surprisingly, Howerton said he didn't
care too much for the track which used
parts of different Saddleback motocross
tracks, including the infamous Banzai
Hill. "There's nothing really tricky
about it," he said, "There's just a lot of
jumps. It seems like a big stadium
track. The only thing that's natural is
the hills."
Myerscough, originally from southern California, said he didn't mind the
track. ''I'm used to it; I've ridden here
a lot," were his comments after winning.
